There is one universal truth to the seasons and people’s attitudes to them.  One is the seasons, no matter which season it may be, are always capable of surprise.  The other is that people’s feelings towards the weather in the seasons always changes depending on their mood and outlook.  Even the most beautiful warm weather runs into individuals who do not like it because it is too hot or too bright out or too this or too that.  The same happens with cold weather.  Many people enjoy the cold weather and the winter.  They have fun enjoying the snow by going skiing or playing with their kids in the snow or simply enjoy the mere beauty of the snow and the winter landscape.  However, even the most avid winter sportsman or sportswoman would agree there really is something special about seeing the snow melting in the spring and getting the first warm ray of sunlight on their backs.  Especially after months of cold and snow.  It feels great to see the life that spring brings and the life to people the warmth encourages.

However, spring has the same effect on humans as on nature. Most of us like the fact that snow starts to melt and the sun rays are starting to bring light and warmth back to our lives. It is the nicest time of the year. Animals also react during spring time as they come out of their winter homes and start spending time in nature. Flowers blossom and there are many changes that happen that show spring is near. One thing that happens during spring and can alter our attitude is the fact that there are many cold intervals. This is natural and cannot be controlled. You can control only the things you do during this weather.

I think the best thing to do in the case of running in to a bout of cold spring weather is to treat it as though it did not come at all.  I recommend going and having a picnic or a barbeque at a local park that will allow you to make a camp fire.  Pick a nice sunny day if it is warm all the better but it does not have to be.  Load some wood into the car and put together some hotdogs, hamburgers or what ever else you may feel like and head down to the park.  Take some games and things to do; maybe a football to toss or cross-country skis for some nice leisurely physical activity.  The first thing you are going to want to do is start your fire.  You will need it to stay warm and comfortable so it is best to get it going right away.  Spend the afternoon with you partner in the park under a sunny sky and imagine it is summer.  It really is not that hard to do.  Just getting out will do so much for your moral and spirits and who does not love hamburgers and hotdogs?

Have you heard of snowshoes? Snowshoes are shoes especially designed for walking distances in the snow. They look like tennis rackets and they have a way to be adjusted to your shoes and allow you to cover long distances on foot. This way they spread your weight and make it easy for you to walk without getting tired. If you enjoy hiking in the summer, you can also try this kind of walking that will help you get the same feeling.

So there are two more winter activities that you will love and will get you out of the house and enjoying the bad spring weather.  The most important thing to remember is to embrace the cold snap and get out and enjoy yourselves and one another.  Remember to try a picnic the next time a winter storm blows trough your area in the early spring.  Obviously, do not try to go and have a picnic during the snowstorm, but wait for a bright sunny day after wards and get out and enjoy the snow.  Pack hotdogs or what ever else you may feel like and go have some fun.  Secondly, try snowshoeing.  It is a great way to get out and go for a nice leisurely hike.  Spend the afternoon in the park or river valley hiking.  You will truly enjoy this time together.  So the next time is snows when it is not supposed to or you are feeling locked up or are having a bout of cabin fever then get out and try these activities.  Turn a cold situation into a warm and loving one!  Once you arrive home and are looking to warm up, fire up the romance and warm each other up. Take those really great romance products you’ve been saving for a special night such as Kama Sutra Earthly Delights or another great product I recommend which is Honey Dust out of the closet, and you will transform a great day into an unforgettable night.

The weather is one thing you can not control in a wedding event.  You can plan everything else but no matter what you do weather is out of your hands. As a photographer, well, bad weather is something you can plan for.  Obviously you hope you don’t have to deal with it.But you want to be ready for whatever weather may happen if you have been assigned a job to do the pictures. So here are some useful tips you can follow in case of bad weather in a wedding day.

First and foremost you need a backup plan. But no matter what you do you still need to prepare another option for those outdoor shots you planned to capture.  As a wedding photographer San Diego I usually don’t have to worry about this. But there will be times when bad weather happens. The thing you can do is ensure that you have a backup location that is ready if the weather does get bad.You can plan the photographs you will take with a backup place identified.

Another thing you can do is plan to have more time for the wedding photos. What this gives you is the opportunity to cover or hide yourself when it is showering. You can hurriedly take photos when the rain lets up.  I have had to do this several times as a San Diego photographer. It will work but it is not the best way to take photographs.

Finally you must have set up umbrellas.Sometimes the weather will not let up and umbrellas will let you take them anyway.  In my San Diego portrait photographer business we already have umbrellas ready for many reasons.  In reality taking photos with overcast skies look great in pictures.  So it isn’t all bad.

So there are plenty of tips you can use to make the very best out of a bad weather in a wedding event.  As mentioned you can’t control the weather but you can control your plans and still have great photos.
